From that diagram, it looks like the side marker lights up front should be connected to the brown cables. This is because the hot wheels are literally doing all the braking and it will cause excessive. Strip both ends and fix them with a butt connector at both ends.

I don't think my instruction manual had it set up like that - I think mine had me connect the side markers to the yellow and green ones.
